Fall 2015 Beauty Trends

by 2 September 07, 2015

Happy Labor Day, luvvies! And thank you all for taking time out of this last long weekend of the summer to pop in and see what's in store for the cosmetics world in terms of Fall 2015 beauty trends. Today's round-up will shed some light on the freshest eye, lip, face, and nail looks -- straight off the runway --  for Autumn 2015. Lips: 90s luvv This fall, the grunge movement will be widely represented by the deep, moody shades of wine and copper on everyone's lips. Silver and gold are always glam, but try a warmer bronze shadow to really brighten up your face and bring the focus to your baby blues/browns/hazels/greens/etc. [caption id="attachment_13249" align="aligncenter" width="700"]elle_copper eye shadow image via elle.com[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13250" align="aligncenter" width="700"]elle_copper eye shadow2 image via elle.com[/caption] Eye Liner: Blacker and Bolder I am so happy to see the graphic eye liner styles from the spring roll over into fall trends; the major difference, of course, is that fall and winter looks allow for the drama of using stark, bold black liner (as opposed to the colorful options worn in the spring and summer). With a steady hand (and some careful practice), you'll be rocking the graphic line in no time. And yes, you can absolutely make it wearable for your workday! [caption id="attachment_13254" align="aligncenter" width="700"]harpers_graphic eye image via harpersbazaar.com[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13255" align="aligncenter" width="700"]harpers_graphic eye2 image via harpersbazaar.com[/caption] Face: Naturally flushed Ok, so maybe we're all a little tired of trying to pull off the "no-makeup" makeup. But this fall, that pared-down look is made fresh again with the addition of a healthy flush. [caption id="attachment_13253" align="aligncenter" width="700"]harpers_flushed face image via harpersbazaar.com[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13258" align="aligncenter" width="700"]vogue_flushed face image via vogue.com/uk[/caption] Yes, I am suggesting that you trade in your bronzers, highlighters, and taupe-hued contouring powders; instead, try a cheery pink blush across the apples of your cheeks. Blend down and back toward your ears to give your face that "I've been cuddling around a bonfire" look. Nails: Chic and Solid I don't do many nail tutorials because, in all honesty, I like getting gel manis at the salon. It's a luxury I look forward to twice a month. And to stay on trend during the fall months, I will most definitely be skipping over my normal Cajun Shrimp for something a little darker and more tailgate-appropriate! [caption id="attachment_13252" align="aligncenter" width="700"]harpers_cobalt nails image via harpersbazaar.com[/caption] [caption id="attachment_13256" align="aligncenter" width="700"]harpers_green nails image via harpersbazaar.com[/caption] Try a matte shade in bright cobalt or dark green to make a statement without the drama of glitter or a nail design. And jet black is always a winner in my book. chanel_black matte nails Now you have my picks of the best looks for this up-coming fall season. Are you luvvies already rocking some of these killer trends? We'd love to see! Share with us by tagging your social media photos with #beautyluvv or #luvvyfall. katie-sig
