raspberry prosecco cocktail, pear rosemary champagne, new years eve cocktail, nye cocktail

As I have pursued my love of making food, I've realized just how much more I truly need to know in order to be considered a real foodie. One of the areas I felt weakest in was how to pair food with the right drink. I knew some of the basics, but I wanted to know more so that I could share with you all the best pairs for your New Year's Eve. These cocktails and appetizers work well as you get ready to go out for NYE , or if you are hosting your own NYE dinner. Hope you luvvlies have had the greatest holiday season! The first pairing is built for the traditional NYE celebration drink of choice, champagne. Champagne is great on its own, but with a little pear and rosemary, it goes to the next level.  The Perfect Pear - Pear Cocktail with a Pear Honey Gorgonzola Crostini Pear Cocktail Ingredients 2/3 Glass of Champagne 1/3 Glass Pear Soda Slice of Pear Sprig of Rosemary Directions For the measurements here, I'm using the actual glass as a guide. Mix the champagne and pear soda together. Pear juice would work as well. I found the pear soda in the organic section of our local Kroger. After mixing the two together, then take a slice of pear and sprig of rosemary to garnish. Simple and delicious. pear champagne, pear rosemary, pear rosemary champagne cocktail Ingredients  Pear Honey Gorgonzola Crostini French Bread Gorgonzola 1/3 cup of Honey 1/2 cup of Olive Oil 1 tsp of Salt Slices of Pears (2 pairs) honey olive oil Directions Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Then cut your french bread in half to make the crostini. Combine the olive oil, honey and salt into one bowl. Mix together until combine. Coat the french bread with your delicious olive oil honey mixture. After the bread is covered, cook until browned. Take the bread out and sprinkle the gorgonzola over the bread. Put the bread back in the oven until the cheese is melted. Once you take the bread out of the oven, spread the cheese and then cover with pear slices. Serve the crostini with the cocktail and together they will bring out some delightful flavors. pear gorgonzola crostini, pear gorgonzola, pear honey Lemon Raspberry Prosecco with Raspberry Brie  Lemon Raspberry Prosecco  Ingredients  1/2 glass of Prosecco 1/2 glass of Cranberry Raspberry Juice 1 tsp of lemon juice Garnish with raspberry and lemon Directions Mix the prosecco and juice, then squeeze part of the lemon into the glass.
