by 2 August 24, 2015Happy Monday, luvvs! As you've probably noticed, we here at HL are doing our best to bring you the freshest trends, recipes, and DIY projects to make Fall 2015 your best season yet. Today's Makeup Monday post is no exception; I cannot wait to share my latest drugstore must-haves. Keep reading! A year or so ago, I made a lippie tutorial for a look I called the "Popsicle pout"-- now Maybelline New York is selling the perfect tool for creating this soft-focus lip! Meet Maybelline's Lip Studio Color Blur, the lip crayon that comes with a smudging end to create the perfect blurred lip. Start by filling in the center of your lips with the lip crayon. I'm using the "Cherry, Cherry, Bang, Bang" shade, but I also bought the "Plum, Please" shade. Once you've saturated the center of both your top and bottom lips, flip the Color Blur wand around and use the smudging end to pull the lip color out toward the edges of your lips. The final look is soft and a little bit messy, which gives this blurred lip trend a cool, effortless feeling. Want to add a little shine? You know I'm going recommend Maybelline's latest product in the Baby Lips family: the Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss. Yes, it's just like the obsession-worthy balm you've been toting around for a couple of years, only this product adds killer shine without any yucky stickiness for your hair to get caught in. The best part about this look? These two lip products give you legit, wearable glamour without breaking the bank. Find both in the Maybelline section at Walgreen's or Target, and then share your blurred lips with us by using the hashtag #beautyluvv!
