Strawberry Chia Smoothie Snacks

I'm going to admit something pretty serious to you guys. It's probably a crime against healthy eating everywhere, but ninety percent of the time, I just don't love smoothies that much. I love them conceptually as a healthy, quick, grab-and-go breakfast or snack, but most of the time I just hate the consistency of drinking one. As a breakfast lover, I always crave something I could do more with than drink. I've looked into the idea of making smoothie bowls, (which I will try soon for you LUVVS), but then an idea hit me. Why not put the smoothie in something that I could easily grab and go? Something with all of the health benefits of the smoothie, but with none of the aforementioned hesitations. Strawberry smoothie snack, you are the breakfast hero I have needed!

STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE SNACKS

Ingredients

1 cup of Irish Cream from last week 1 banana 2 tablespoon of almond butter 1 tablespoon of chia seeds Carton of strawberries

Directions

You will make the smoothie just like any other smoothie. For this use the Irish cream I made from last week (the version without alcohol!) for almond milk and coffee flavoring.

Pour the irish cream, banana, almond butter, and chia seed into the blender. Add ice if the banana isn't frozen. This will be your smoothie mixture.strawberry smoothie, chia smoothie, chia seeds, smoothie snacks, healthy breakfast, healthy snacks, smoothies

After mixing the smoothie, take the strawberries and cut them so that you can hull out the inside. To do this, cut off the top green part, and then use a melon baller to take out part of the center. No melon baller? No problem! cut a circle and then use a spoon to empty out the middle.

Freeze these for 10-15 minutes, and then they're ready to take as your breakfast! If you make a lot, keep a frozen bag and use this as breakfast for multiple days.
