Where should I go?
What should I do when I get there?
Are there two other questions that loom larger when you think about a weekend away? No. No, there really are not.
Since a glorious day in 2002 the New York Times has been publishing their "36 Hours" column. It's been the catalyst for many a memory made over the past thirteen years. All because they expertly answer those big questions.
It's empowering to have a go to list of places you want to visit. It instills confidence in your weekend when you know, which sites are really worth seeing, where the locals grab brunch and what quirky stores and experiences are hidden in the minds of those who have lived and/or loved a city for some time. Its what travel perfection is made of.
The New York Times 36 Hours books are many. They are specific to areas large (Europe, Asia, Latin America) and less-large (Northeast USA, Midwest and Great Lakes). And they do exactly what they say they do. Tell you what to do if you are there for 36 hours. Each destination is littered with pretty pictures to convince you they know more than you do and you should just follow their lead. They do. You should.
Get a book. Pursue it for ideas. Make a plan. Get your butt to a place that rocks and don't regret it. You won't be able to. You will have done all the cool stuff.
P.S. I know we already gave you a travel gift guide but this would also make a killer Christmas gift this holiday season.

Hello Luvvy is an Arkansas based online boutique and blog that started as a collaborative blogging platform in 2013 by lifelong friends Katie & Darcy. In 2017, Darcy fulfilled a dream of adding a women's clothing boutique to the site and brand.
We maintain that women's real beauty should always shine through, therefore we do not use photoshop to alter any of the women you see modeling in the shop or creating content on our blog.
