When we started planning this amazing fall picnic, I knew I wanted to create a fall sangria to be a perfect accompaniment to the crisp outdoors. This sangria contains delicious apples while warming up the belly with notes of cinnamon and nutmeg. Y'all gonna be sipping on this all fall long! Just because the summer has faded, doesn't mean you have to put those white wines up quite yet. With the help of a little Fireball, your Chardonnay goes a little bit further.
Ingredients 1 bottle of Chardonnay (or any white whine) 1 bottle of Champange 3 sliced apples 2 cups of Fireball 1 tablespoon of nutmeg 1 tablespoon of cinnamon Directions First, you will begin by slicing up your apples. While your apples are still on the cutting board, sprinkle the nutmeg and cinnamon on top of the apples.
Now that your apples have some spices, you will put them in some sort of container (pitcher, tupperwear) so that you can soak them. Once in said container, you will pour the Fireball on top of the apples. Now, I have 2 cups listed, but listen, you can just cover the apples up with the Fireball if you want. If 2 cups doesn't do the job for you, feel free to add more. You're going to want to let the apples steep in the Fireball for a few (3ish) hours. This will allow the apples to absorb as much of the Fireball as possible.
After a few hours, you're ready to finish up the recipe. In a pitcher you will combine the Chardonnay + Champagne with the apples.
The last step, is just enjoying it on a beautiful blanket with your favorite friends in the great outdoors.
